Healing Through Private One-to-One Retreats

 

Losing a loved one by suicide is one of the most traumatising and life changing experiences. There is no ‘getting over it’. You can only go through it and learn to live with what has happened as you navigate your new ‘normal’.

 

 

These personalised one-to-one healing retreats will benefit you if:

  • your loved one died by suicide more than a year ago
  • your loved one died by suicide many years ago, for example, more than 5, 10, 15 years ago, you thought you were fine and over it but your loss has been triggered by another loss now
  • are feeling stuck in your grief and feel you are on a roller coaster unable to get off
  • you are ready to release guilt, blame, anger, resentment, the what if’s and why’s
  • you are experiencing depression, stress, anxiety or PTSD as a result of your loss
  • you are ready to move on from what has happened

  2.  Reach a place of acceptance.
  3.  Discover your new identity after your traumatic loss and live fully.

 

What happens on the retreat?

A retreat offers you the opportunity to get away from the demands of your everyday life and to focus on yourself for a change.  In a supportive and nurturing environment you can allow yourself to get in touch with your innermost thoughts, vulnerabilities and emotions without having to worry about someone walking in on you or thinking about the shopping, the children or the work demands.

You can just focus on yourself and who you were before the loss, who you were during the early days of the loss and who you are now. You can come to terms with the enormity of what has happened and reach a place of acceptance and peace.

 

An example of a popular 5 night retreat with 14 sessions :

Day 1: Arrival, settle in. Session depending time of arrival.

Day 2-5:  7am optional early morning mountain or beach walk,  10-12am double session,  2-4 pm   double session/single session

Day 6: 7am optional early morning walk, breakfast, depart

(Please note the above is for guidance only. In practice the session times will vary according to your needs and the season as in summer it is too hot to have sessions in the afternoon.)

During your stay you will be working at a deep level and making sigificant shifts through emotional releasing via solution focused methods such as meditation, life coaching, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and a very powerful transforming forgiveness process.

You have the option of choosing Angelic Reiki healing, Indian Head Massage or Yin Yoga to replace a coaching session if you wish. You will have time to reflect, journal, walk in nature, swim in the sea or pool, sleep, rest, relax and take in the sights of Albir and surrounding area.

 

Where are the retreats held?

In Albir, situated on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Alicante airport, shuttle from airport to Albir about 45 mins to one hour.

 

Where will I stay?

In a self catering one bedroom apartment with swimming pool, air con, WiFi and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and mountains.

Everything is within very short walking distances. Albir beach and beautiful, scenic mountain walk are both 10 minutes from the apartment. Supermarkets, restaurants and cafe’s are just 5 minutes. You can watch magnificent sunrises from your lounge. The old fishing town of Altea is about a half an hour walk along the beach.
