Exercising is one of the ingredients of maintaining a healthy body. What I discovered in the past for my own body and what my clients have found is that exercising alone (or even combining it with healthy eating, now and then!) is just not achieving them the results they want.
Resentment, anger and negative energy slows you down, limits your true potential and truly causes you to feel heavier. Have you noticed how weight gain accompanies the most difficult times in our lives. Yes, stress hormones, emotional eating, and lack of sleep are the mechanisms that pack the pounds on but underneath it all, underlying all physical and chemical processes that are affected by your emotions which in turn affect your behaviour. So if we want to be lighter, freer and happier we must change our emotions. We must clear out the negative energy that is weighing us down. And the best place to start is to work with an experienced therapist.
After many years of trying to shift fat from certain parts of my body, experiencing emotional ups and downs, feeling really low, like a failure, and thinking I was destined to feel frumpy and fat, especially after the physical changes I noticed after having my two children, things finally changed for the better.

Please note that my clients have benefited from appreciating there is no magic wand for any change … commitment and effort is required on your part … after all you are the one who is going to benefit. Gradual weight loss is permanent weight loss. So, what you are starting on is a longer project (depending on your starting point) than the misleading ‘lose x amount of weight in just 7 days’ because as your experience has shown you – sudden weight loss does not last and usually you end up weighing more than you did at the beginning of the crash diet.

You Are Unique
I have found in my years of working with Weight No More clients that the number of sessions required for lasting change varies according to the individual because my aim is to ensure that you achieve your goals. Your situation is unique to you and I have found there is no ‘one way fits all.’ The minimum number of sessions is 6.
There are three different types of eaters.
1 Emotional eaters eat food because of emotions such as stress, frustration, worry, loneliness, boredom, pain, as a reward, as a punishment or perhaps to fill a relationship void.
2 Unconscious eaters may eat a whole packet of biscuits, a tub of ice cream or a large bag of crisps or nuts whilst watching a film. They put food in their mouth without even being aware of it.
3 Conditioned eaters were programmed from early childhood to finish everything on their plate because of the people starving in other countries. In the past some people had difficulty acquiring food so these parents made their children feel guilty if they left food over, perhaps even insisting that their children did not leave the dinner table until every piece of food on their plate was eaten. This type of eater now feels guilt if they leave any food over on their plate.
Of course, you could be a combination of the above or it may be due to something else.
I came to Balbir about issues I’ve always had with my weight. I vowed to finally overcome this obstacle and knew for me it wasn’t just about getting to the gym and eating healthier to achieve the weight loss. I knew I had to truly understand and work through the reasons why I had continuously failed in the past, why I sabotaged my chances of achieving a weight loss goal and what I had to do to get to goal and maintain it. Over a number of very insightful sessions I was at last able to get to grips with the underlying causes of my weight and finally start to lose and keep it off.

What is the evidence for Hypnotherapy working for weight loss?
Continuing Results: In a study of two weight management groups (one using hypnosis and the other not) over a 9 week period, the hypnosis group continued to get results in the two-year follow-up, while the non-hypnosis group showed no further results.

Greater Weight Loss: In a study of 60 women separated into hypnosis versus non-hypnosis groups, the groups using hypnosis lost an average of 17pounds (7.73 Kgs), while the non-hypnosis group lost an average of only .5 pounds (0.23 Kgs)
