Born in a small village in Northern India, moving to the UK with my family at age six I am one of the generation of women that broke the custom of arranged marriage and the traditional place of women in that society. Read my story.

“It’s not what happens to you that matters, what matters is what you do with what has happened to you.”

I love this quote. It takes the emphasis of what has happened because you can’t go back and change it. All you can change is how you now think and feel about it.

It’s time now to address the after effects (post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, anger, resentment, loneliness, isolation, inferiority complex) of what you have experienced.

I could never have imagined, when at my lowest point I was considering suicide, that by choosing life, choosing me, digging deep, getting focused and putting the work in, I would be a personal development and communication professional.

The techniques I use are those that have helped me to transform my life (starting at age 33) from depression, anxiety, hopelessness, powerlessness to feeling healed and empowered enough that I decided I could make a huge difference to others and trained as a therapist, life coach, and trainer.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters

compared to what lies within us”

In line with my desire to make a significant positive difference I have:

  • been a resident coach on BBC radio
  • worked with hundreds of individuals, couples and teenagers
  • shared my learnings through writing for various magazines
  • appeared on BBC2 television speaking on my experience as an Indian divorced woman
  • led workshops at NLP conferences
  • been a trustee of a charitable therapy centre
  • provided counselling and Indian Head Massage for a Buckinghamshire multiple sclerosis support group
  • taught life coaching and NLP students
  • run NLP practice groups
  • been the Chair of an International Women’s group in Buckinghamshire
  • run a support group for those bereaved by suicide for the charity Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS)
  • delivered emotional intelligence training for organisations and individuals

I wish you well on your journey and it would be an honour to help you on your path.
